My praise for Kitchen Creators couldn’t be higher. Every day we love walking into our brighter, larger and superbly workable kitchen. I was given their details by a neighbour who had their existing (20 year old) kitchen seamlessly added to and updated by the Kitchen Creators team. Nothing was too big an ask.

We went to them with ideas and together with Jason, we came up with a solution that was not only affordable and practical, but also a beautiful space that we get a lot of joy from. Once the team came onboard it was less than 5 weeks of work – this is despite not knowing what was going to be behind some of the walls once removed – it was a little bit of ‘let’s see what we find and what we can make use of. Nothing was seen as a problem. As a result, we have more space than we started out with.

We couldn’t believe how swiftly it all came together. Using the contractors recommended by them (for the electrical, plumbing, plasterwork & flooring work) no day was wasted, and it was all expertly scheduled by the team. Kym & Tim were brilliant – being prepared to find solutions for anything that cropped up – including building a bench seat area and creating a larder pantry area above the boiler. It was a pleasure having them in the house and they left the ‘site’ neat and tidy daily having vacuumed before doing so. It really was painless! Also, by using Jason’s recommendations for my appliances I received a very worthwhile discount and am enjoying top of the range equipment that I couldn’t have dreamed of before. I look forward to our next project… The dining room!

Claire and Jason run their business as the perfect ‘one stop shop’ for everything associated with a new kitchen installation. Their attention to detail is superb and everyone who works for Kitchen Creators is a true professional who has the customer’s interests first and foremost.

Our project involved building work creating an open more efficient kitchen and utility area, plastering ceilings and walls, re-routing electrics and new sockets, plumbing for additional radiators and washing machine relocated, screeding and laying karndean flooring and all professionally decorated. We had been planning a new kitchen for a while but had struggled to obtain quotes we were happy with from our local firms. We took a trip to Kitchen Creators after researching the units we wanted and were pleased with the price quoted. We are so delighted with the service we received from Claire and Jason at Kitchen Creators. They were helpful and full of great advice and information when we needed it, yet let us create our own ideas and design too. Jason was brilliant at suggesting the repositioning of our larder cupboard to let more light flood into the kitchen and the dining room beyond, and suggesting a rolldown cupboard to hide/accommodate our consumer unit.

Our kitchen was completed 3 months ago – so the pictures are more of a lived-in and dressed look than the usual ones that accompany a review. The bottom line is – their designs are great, the customer service and advice are brilliant, and everything that was meant to arrive did so on time. We have recommended Kitchen Creators to a friend and a relative, both of whom have chosen Claire and Jason to supply their kitchens.

What I wish I had known…..

This is the first time I have remodelled a kitchen from scratch. So, I asked my friends who had gone through the process recently what they would recommend. It was a good exercise. But all of them concentrated on the design of the furniture and its function. What no one mentioned was the cooking equipment. This is quite ironic as that is the whole point of a kitchen. To a certain extent I flew blind (but had good sense checking from Claire) and invested in two things I have never used before. First, I went for an induction hob. I chose an extra-large one. And I am so delighted with it. I have always been a fan of gas hobs. And when I moved into this house with no mains gas was disappointed with the electric hob I had to put up with. So, the induction hob has been a revelation. It is so fast! I used to boil a kettle of water if I needed to have hot water on the stovetop. Not now. With the induction hob, the water reaches boiling point quicker than the kettle can boil. And it is responsive. You turn the temperature down and it reduces immediately. It is great. It also looks fabulous and only takes a wipe over with glass cleaner to keep it looking spanking and new.

The other journey of discovery I went on was having a combi oven with a steam function. I had never used a steam oven before. And after a horrendous finger burn using a standalone steamer years ago, never went there again. Claire suggested a combi oven with an integrated steam function. And it is the best thing I have in my kitchen. With no added fats or oils – vegetables are cooked to perfection losing none of their vibrancy, flavour or goodness. Fish is also beautifully cooked in this oven. I adore using it.

If you love to cook, hate to spend hours cleaning a dirty hob and want your veg to be crunchy and full of flavour and goodness get an induction hob and a steam oven. They are worth it.

We went to Wren, who designed us a kitchen but didn’t really guide us at all and we were left wondering whether it would work for us. The Karndean flooring and glass splash back which Jason fitted were the perfect finishing touch. Family and friends who have seen the finished result have been very impressed and commented how much bigger the kitchen looks.

In 2016 Jason designed, supplied, and fitted a kitchen for a new house that we were having built. We were delighted with the result. A lot of this was due to the fact that at the design stage he listened to what we wanted and interpreted it so that it worked with the needs of the kitchen to be created. We also used him to supply and fit the flooring for the bathroom and ensuites, which was, again, a success. Jason I have spent a long time thinking about my kitchen overhaul, and looking for solutions to best use the available space for my needs, along with avoiding the inevitable disruption a kitchen refit brings.

It was important to me that the choices I made I would be able to live with for a long time. Jason really brings the personal touch throughout the whole process, from spending all the time needed in the design phase with vast quantities of patience and attention to detail, to making sure the design is completely right, to adapting to last minute changes including in my case the last minute removal of a wall!!

Dealing with Jason has been a breath of fresh air. I really cannot recommend him and his company enough. I have a small kitchen and a need to use every nook and cranny efficiently. Having spent 5 years contacting all the usual kitchen providers, not one could give me a design that met my needs. I was given Jason’s details by chance and wasn’t sure he’d be able to help, but gave it one last go.

He met with me and took on board my list of “must haves” and by the end of that day, he had emailed me exactly the kitchen design I had envisaged – actually it was better than I had envisaged!!

What makes Jason stand out for me is his relaxed, can-do attitude. He understands you need to be sure about the decisions you are making and nothing was too much trouble. He’s very knowledgeable about his products and had great ideas to solve “problems” I put to him.

When it came time to fit the kitchen, his fitter arrived with the same work ethic as Jason. He was very tidy, efficient and checked some of the finer details with me to make sure he was providing exactly what I wanted.

In the days after fitting I found a couple of snags and when I emailed Jason, he replied back promptly advising that he would rectify it swiftly, which he did without any drama.

The end result is a fabulous kitchen that looks stunning (everyone has admired it!), great quality, provides me with all the storage and functionality I could possibly need and all at a competitive price.

It took us 3 years to find anybody who understood exactly how we wanted our kitchen to look. We knew basically what we wanted and Jason helped us to realise what could be done. We wanted all Bosch appliances but there was an extractor fan that I loved and could not see any other in our kitchen. Jason went out of his way to make sure I got it. He also helped us to save some money where we could. It took us a few months with changing our minds on appliances and design but, throughout Jason remained very patient and made sure we were happy to go ahead.

Came the day and everything worked like clockwork. We needed electrics and plastering done first. No problem. Dave and Bob arrived on time and both did a very good job. Very friendly and worked very clean and tidy. Next it was Conan (the fitter) As with all Jason’s workmen he was a perfectionist and very thorough in all he did. The tap I had ordered proved to be a problem with the fitting. He spent 4 hours working on it until he got it right. Perfect. Cleaned up after he finished and went home.

Jason & Ed fitted a Karndean floor for us. (Cumbrian Stone ST14 with the grout strips). We are very pleased with it. We have a dog and it doesn’t show the dirt. Looks and feels warmer than ceramic tiles. You can’t use a steamer on it because the grout strips might come unstuck, no real problem I just mop it over. Looks good.

Jason was always popping in or at the end of the phone to make sure we were happy with everything that was being done.

We went away for a week and when we came back the lovely stone work surface had been fitted. The finishing off of the kitchen was of a very high standard.

Jason, you and your workmen have given us the ‘wow’ kitchen we wanted. Everybody who comes in are very impressed. We would not hesitate to recommend Kitchen Creators to our family, friends and neighbours. You have proved yourself trustworthy, patient, fantastic customer service, great quality and competitively priced.
